I have a million posts I need to catch up on, but in the meantime, I had to pop in for a special celebration. My dachshunds turned 10 and 11 years old, today and yesterday!!! HOORAY!
Crazy to think that I’ve had them both for almost a full decade now! My dachs and I have been through so much together. They’ve seen me go through lots of heart ache and been the ultimate cuddle buddies. And I’ve seen them through everything from minor stomach aches that have kept me up all night to serious back problems and a near fatal auto-immune disease.
Needless to say, I’ve bonded with my dachs a lot over the years and my love for them feels deeper than I imagine I could ever feel for a human child. I’m so grateful for each day I have with them!
